Seeing a need for a nonprofit to support our community's equine and animals, we formed our organization to provide sensible solutions, for abused, neglected, abandoned and unwanted equine and farm animals. We strive to showcase love and respect for them and teach this way of kindness to children, who otherwise might not understand what some animals sometimes have to deal with. This is possible with your help and we offer our thanks to you, the helping hands of this amazing community; together, we can do more to make a positive difference in society one helped animal at a time.
Horses and all animals, like us, need regular care, feed and sometimes medical attention, especially as they age. Housing such as a dry area to lay down in that is warm in winter and cool in summer is essential. The age of a well cared for horse for instance can easily exceed 25 to even 30+ years old! Housing such as a dry area to lay down in that is warm in winter and cool in summer is essential. The age of a well cared for horse for instance can easily exceed 25 to even 30+ years old! We strive to keep all the animals at the Sanctuary healthy and content with fresh water and ample dust free hay and supplements. They need to always have a place to be safe and well kept; whether they are past their "using years" or not. Good pasture is essential for optimum health and we are working hard to expand the pasture areas for more grazing area on the land here.
The date is approaching fast and we’re making preparations. Don’t miss this opportunity to meet one of the oldest horses at the Sanctuary and see the other animals! Cake and cookies while supplies last for everyone. Starts at 10 am. Putting Horse Ranch will be offering specials on services with kids leading rides and face-painting on a first come basis at special pricing. No appointment necessary. Leave your pets at home please.

Exodus Equine Sanctuary & Rescue Society is planning to raise an estimated amount of $75,000 this year on Fund-raising campaigns. It will cost our organization $15,000 to raise this. The money raised will be going to provide shelter, rehabilitation and care for abandoned, abused, or neglected equine and farm animals with a quarantine paddock being added for new animals arriving. Elder equine will be cared for at the sanctuary to live out their remaining years. For further information, please contact Liz Poburan 1-780-920-6582. Sometimes the animals require special additional care that is costly but must be provided - such as shoes if their hooves need it. Or supplements if their bodies need it. (Most do). We also take extra time each day to ensure that the rescued and retired animals have all that they need to be as healthy as possible and live in peace and be content here.
Getting the rescued animals to trust us comes with time and patience. We take the time with the animals and this gives them a chance to show their unique personalities as they accept and relax in their new environment at our sanctuary. We take the time with the animals and this gives them a chance to show their unique personalities as they accept and relax in their new environment at our sanctuary. Each animal is special and they all come to show interest in people as they learn to trust. Also, when rehabilitation is achieved for some of the animals, re-homing is possible. So far we have been successful to re-home some into loving homes.
